TranslateAble is excited to celebrate the 9th Global Exhibitions Day on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, under the theme “Exhibitions are catalysts for sustainable futures.”
Global Exhibitions Day (GED) is an annual event held on the first Wednesday of June to highlight the importance of the exhibition industry locally, regionally, and globally. Since its inception in 2016, GED has grown significantly, with activities and events taking place in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.
One of this year’s GED key messages addresses how exhibitions are a sustainable way to drive business development and how by gathering communities in one place, we are able to manage environmental impact. At TranslateAble, we too are playing our part in helping event organisers with reach their ESG goals by offering multilingual services that foster inclusivity and maintaining a global network of local interpreters. 86% of our global interpreting event assignments required interpreters and technicians to travel no further than their local city, reducing the travel carbon footprint for organisers and supporting local economies.
At TranslateAble, exhibitions hold a special place in our hearts, especially for our founder, Julia, who has over 20 years of experience in delivering trade shows and conferences. TranslateAble is a member of the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) and Julia is also a proud member of the Women in Exhibitions group.
We are privileged to support exhibition organisers globally, witnessing first-hand how exhibitions connect people, advance industries, and build lasting relationships. We firmly believe in the power of exhibitions to drive business growth and regularly participate in industry events ourselves, including International Confex, IBTM, IMEX Frankfurt, and this month, The Meetings Show.
We hope to spend the day connecting (and reconnecting) with our fellow event professionals celebrating Global Exhibitions Day and recognising the vital role exhibitions play in creating sustainable futures.
